Twinning Country

Under the Youth Olympics Games, each Singapore school will be involved in twinning country. The twinning country will be an enjoyable and exciting learning curve for all students as its purpose is to develop a more open mind in accepting friends from different race, religion and country. It is very important to learn the various cultures of those international friends and develop a sense of culture diversity. Twinning country can help as well. It is said for the games time to be one of the most crucial for twinning country as student have the chance to take part in the many activities with the Youth Olympics Games athletes from their twinned NOC. As many as 360 schools in Singapore will form 148 clusters and each group will be assigned to one or two NOC, to take part in twinning country. There are three most significant objectives of the twinning country. The first main objective is about building international friendships through collaboration and cultural exchanges with among the younger generations. Next is to make known the Youth Games Olympics values and mottos or excellence, friendship and respect. Last but not least, develop the minds of young people with a global and positive outlook to have a passion of sports and a healthy lifestyle..
